The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is national professional body in India under the ownership of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India with the objective of promoting, regulating and developing the profession of company secretaries in India.

CHALLENGE

ICSI aimed to develop a comprehensive website for their Group Health Insurance Policy, tailored for their members. The website needed to offer various functionalities allowing members to choose and purchase health insurance policies for themselves or their family members based on specific parameters. Given the high-profile nature of the project, with the website's inauguration scheduled by the President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, it was critical to ensure top-notch quality with zero tolerance for error.

SOLUTION

To meet these challenges, we developed a robust web application and deployed it on public cloud servers, ensuring scalability to handle anticipated traffic surges during the inauguration. To safeguard the site from potential malicious attacks, we implemented a Web Application Firewall (WAF) system. Extensive functionality and bug testing were conduced, along with rigorous load testing to ensure the site could handle high traffic volumes seamlessly.

The scalable website was successfully deployed after passing all necessary tests, making it ready for the high-profile launch by President of India. The site witnessed approximately 20,000+ users and millions of requests, all managed efficiently. The team continuously monitored system health checks and performance alerts to ensure optimal functionality and address any issues promptly, ensuring a smooth and successful launch for ICSI members.
